Trina Renea is an expert esthetician, product creator, podcast host, and esthetic business consultant with over 20 years of hands-on experience in the beauty and wellness industry. What began as a successful solo practice at her boutique spa, Facial Bungalow, founded in Los Angeles, CA, in 2004, has expanded into a diverse brand focused on education, delivering proven results, and earning trusted recommendations.
But Trina’s story starts long before the treatment room.
Before becoming an esthetician, she was the lead singer of a punk rock band signed to Interscope Records. Her first career as a musician shaped her fearless approach to life and business. You can still see glimpses of that chapter in her EPK and the band’s music video—a proud part of her creative legacy.
After establishing a loyal clientele at Facial Bungalow, Trina developed her own skincare line, Trina Renea Skincare, in 2008—a curated collection of high-performance products created for real skin, real results, and real people. Her background in dermatology, combined with two decades of experience in the treatment room, provided her with the insight to work directly with labs to curate formulas that actually work.
In 2010, Trina became a mother—and that life shift inspired one of her most innovative ventures. In 2016, she pioneered something never seen before: a spa with on-site childcare. Spa Lé La was the first of its kind in the world—a well-loved sanctuary where self-care didn’t require a babysitter. The concept was so powerful that it drew franchise interest worldwide. Though Spa Lé La closed during the pandemic, its impact remains. You can watch how it worked, and if you’re interested in starting a similar concept, reach out to Trina directly.
In 2019, Trina came together with two industry legends: Beverly Hills dermatologist Dr. Vicki Rapaport of Rapaport Dermatology and Rebecca Gadberry, a cosmetic chemist and renowned UCLA instructor who had taught cosmetic science for over 40 years, as well as the highly educated consumer, Julie Falls, to co-create the Facially Conscious Podcast. The podcast breaks down everything from industry myths to medical-grade treatments in a way that’s digestible, honest, and empowering. Each episode is a conversation rooted in real experience—no gatekeeping, no brand bias.
That same year, Trina launched Esthetic Concierge, a consulting service that helps doctors, plastic surgeons, and spa owners build profitable and seamless esthetic departments. From menu development to private-label product curation, she elevates spaces with precision, clarity, and her signature industry savvy.
And because her clients are always asking for more books, beauty products, home essentials, and wellness finds, she created Trina’s Inner Circle Collective: a curated monthly list of client-loved recommendations, all shoppable in one place.
Everything Trina creates, consults on, or recommends is built on trust, clinical knowledge, and connection. Whether you’re a client, listener, or esthetics professional, you’re part of a circle that values quality, integrity, and skin that’s deeply cared for—inside and out.
